Client: Merdis and Lis
In this project for my clients' new apartment, I focused on creating a functional layout for their living room based on their specific requirements. They expressed a desire for a space that is both simple and minimal, while also incorporating a few bold colors to reflect one of the couple's love for retro color palettes.
Soft: Light curtains bring softness to the room.
Artsy: Eclectic artwork and unique decorative pieces bring vibrancy to the space.
Cozy: Warm lighting and comfortable furnishings enhance the feeling of coziness.
Organic: Natural materials and earthy elements add a sense of serenity.
Monochrome: Vintage-inspired furniture and nostalgic accents evoke a sense of nostalgia.
To achieve the client’s expectations, I carefully designed the room by integrating clean lines and streamlined furniture to maintain a minimalist feel. At the same time, I incorporated pops of bold retro colors through accent pieces like a dark blue sofa, wall lamp, and artwork. This eclectic mix of simplicity and boldness helped to create a unique and personalized space that perfectly suited the couple's preferences and aesthetics.
Based on the concept board feedback from the client, I developed a mood board showcasing the main furniture items for the initial room presentation to the client.
