Combining nostalgia with freshness was the challenge presented by the client, who wanted to transform their 100-year-old house in Kumpula, a historic part of Helsinki. While they wanted a completely new wet area, they also wanted their home to retain its old charm. Careful selection of materials and finishes was key to balancing these goals and creating a peaceful, relaxing bathroom.
